Please choice:
City tours by car - Walking city tours - Tours outside Budapest

Private city tours by car are recommended for those who would like to combine individuality with comfort during their tours: with an air-conditioned car or minivan it is easier to explore the city. ALL TOURS START AND END AT YOUR ACCOMMODATION (UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED).

City tour by van
Budapest is situated on the banks of the Danube. The river splits the city into two halves: Pest, which is completely flat, and Buda, which is hilly. Main sights in Pest: Central Market Hall, National Museum, Dohany street Synagogue, Geological Institute, City Park (Széchenyi Thermal Bath), Heroes' Square, Andrassy Avenue, State Opera House, St. Stephen's Basilica, Parliament. Main sights in Buda: Castle District (included former Royal Palace, Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion), Gellert Hill (Statue of Freedom), Gellért Thermal Hotel and Spa. Between the two sides we have the beautiful and impressive Chain Bridge, Elisabeth Bridge, Margaret Bridge and Liberty Bridge...

On a 4 hour tour you can get a general overview about our wonderful capital. A full day tour is more detailed (with more interior visits) and you'll have longer time to explore all of the sights.

Budapest by night (2-2,5 hours by van)
On this tour we drive around the beautifully illuminated sights of the city. We enjoy the breathtaking view of the capital from the top of the Gellért hill. If you wish I take you either to an authentic Hungarian or an elegant restaurant at the end.

Walking city tours are the best options to explore the real face of Budapest. See the Hungarian capital as it is seen by locals, explore the hidden cultural treasures, and enjoy the ambience of Budapest. These tours start and end in the centre of city in general, but upon your request transfer can be provided from and to your hotel. (optional to use public transportation/Taxi in addition to walking)

Inner City of Pest
- Andrassy Avenue (World Heritage site by UNESCO) with State Opera House, House of Terror Museum, Heroes’ Square, City Park
- Castle District (World Heritage site by UNESCO): former Royal Palace, Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion
- Downtown area with St. Stephen’s Basilica, Parliament, Chain Bridge

Would you like to know more than Budapest? Come with me to the most beautiful places of Hungary such as the picturesque Danube-bend region, the unspoilt Puszta or to the biggest lake of Central-Europe - Lake Balaton. These tours are done by car or minivan, and require a half- or full day. The tours include hotel transfer, too.

Szentendre - Half day
Szentendre is also known as an "artists' village". It has been favoured by many local atrists because of its friendly and picturesque ambience. Thanks to the former Serbian refugees, who originally came here to escape the Turkish/Ottoman invasions of Central Europe, there is a kind of Serbian atmosphere in the village even to this day. There are narrow, cobblestone streets, colourful houses with small courtyards, museums and lots of handycraft shops. The Marzipan Museum and the Museum of Micro Miracles are really "must see places".

Gödöllő - Half day
Gödöllő is a small town, a half-hour drive from Budapest city center. Its 18th century palace is one of the largest and the most splendid masterpieces of the Hungarian Baroque architecture. It used to be the favourite summer residence of Queen Elizabeth (also known as Sisi) - wife of Emperor Franz Joseph. The interior visit provides you an interesting glance into the royal couple's every day life. Almost the whole building is perfectly renovated and many of the original furnitures, objects and ornaments can be viewed. We can visit even the former Royal Waiting Room at the train station.

Danube Bend - Full day
Esztergom was the first capital of Hungary, 1000 years ago. Our state founder, King St. Stephen, was born here. Today it's the Head of the Hungarian Roman Catholic Church. Here we'll visit Hungary’s largest Cathedral, including the crypt where Cardinal Mindszenty was reburied. Visegrád is located in the middle of the Danube Bend. It was Hungary's Royal Seat in the 14th and 15th centuries. There´s a fortress on the hilltop with a breathtaking view to the hair-pin turn of the Danube. This is one of the rare places where the river actually looks blue – as it is in the famous song. The castle functions as a museum today where visitors can get an authentic mediaeval impression.

Lake Balaton & Herend - Full day
Herend is a village where today's largest porcelain factory was established in 1826. There is a demonstration section where you can get a unique impression of the whole process. You can watch as the workers perform the different steps involved in making porcelain. Next to the factory is an interesting museum with old masterpieces. Of course you can also purchase exlusive presents in their huge porcelain factory store. Balaton is the largest freshwater lake in Europe, also known as the "Hungarian Sea". During the excursion we are going to explore the famous nature reserve on the Tihany peninsula. We might stop in Balatonfüred to walk along the linden-tree grove (called Tagore-promenade), as well. Because of their geographic proximity it's possible to combine these two programs. But if you'd prefer to experience only one of the programs, that isn't a problem either.

Eger tour - Full day
Eger is a charming baroque city. Famous not only for its sights but also for its wine (known as the Bull's Blood of Eger = Egri Bikavér). The minaret reminds us of the 160 year Turkish (Ottoman) occupation of Hungary. Its mediaeval castle functions as an interesting museum. The Exhibition of Astronomical Equipments and Camera Obscura (ancestor of the camera, working since 1779!) are real curiosities. The Basilica of Eger is one of the biggest churches in the country.

Puszta tour - Full day
A tour to the sunny Puszta, the common name for the Great Hungarian Plain. Puszta means a barren land, wilderness and a grassy kind of semi-desert. It was originally inhabited by shepherds, cowherds and horsemen, and it was used for extensive cattle breeding. It is also the home of scattered farms, farm products and legends. In the frame of the tour you can get acquainted with the Hungarian farm life and the farm products, you can get close to animals and you can get familiar with the legends of the Puszta. This enjoyable and unforgettable experience is flavoured by visiting a typical Hungarian town, Kecskemét where you can gain a vivid picture of the 19th-century typical Hungarian architecture.
